Ronnie Anne: [Off-screen] "Excuse me!" [Ronnie Anne stands in the hallway with her skateboard] "Who is responsible for this?" [Ronnie Anne points to a scratch on her skateboard]

Carlos: "Ooh, well, the skateboard was popularized by a man named Larry Stevenson, who wanted to design--"

Ronnie Anne: "I mean, who is responsible for this huge scratch? Abuela, did you use my board to move the fridge again?"

Rosa: "No, no, no! I don't need it anymore." [Rosa lifts up the whole cabinet with one arm and dusts the floor underneath] "I've been working out!"

Ronnie Anne: [Surprised] "Uh, OK.

This episode reveals that Rosa is super buff, as she was able to lift the TV stand (with the TV) with very little effort.

Adelaide: "Aunt Millie!" [Hugs her, almost throwing Sid off balance.] "You feel, lumpy." Sid: "Thank you sweetie, I've been getting ripped in the afterlife." [She flexes her biceps] Adelaide: [Gasps] "I've got your favourite perfume." [Sprays it in Sid and Carlos's faces, Carlos sneezes.] Sid: "Well that was a great visit," [Carlos keeps sneezing.] "but I'd better get back to the gym, they don't call me Aunt, Treadmillie for nothing."

Her biceps are briefly seen while she and Ronnie Anne are cosplaying as her sister's Great Aunt Milly.

Bobby: "This looks delicious, I'm starving, and everything is sore."

[Bobby is about to take a bite, but Carlos snatches it from him]

Carlos: "What you put in your body the night before a big test is crucial. Studies show that cutting out meat," [Removes the meat from Bobby's torta, much to Rosa's horror] "dairy," [takes the cheese out]

Rosa: [Tortured] "Not the cheese."

Carlos: [Continuing, dumps out the vegetables onto Bobby's plate] "And starches can radically improve your test scores." [Rosa has her show off, and Carlota holds her back. Bobby looks at his dinner, sad, and Carlos takes one more thing] "Whoop, ha ha, forgot the beans, definetly can't have those" [Puts it all on his own torta]

[Suddenly, Rosa's shoe knocks the torta out of his hands and Carlos ends up biting it. The torta lands in Lalo's bowl]

Carlos: "Hey."

[Rosa grabs her shoe back, and gets in the table, muscles flexing]

Rosa: [Furious] "You lost your torta privileges, mister!"

Vito: [As Big Tony and Little Sal try tai chi.] “I don’t hear nothin'. Must be a baby ghost.” [Goes over to Frida, who’s doing a painting.] “Ooh, look at this, another masterpiece.”

Frida: “Awe, thanks Vito, I'm trying to capture the power of the modern woman.”

[Her painting is of Rosa as the 'We Can Do It' woman saying '¡Sí Se Puede!']

Vito: “That's just amazing.”

[Slaps Frida on the back, but this causes her to mess up her painting.]

Frida: [Trying to keep her cool.] “I'm gonna help Carlos with the baby.”

    • The reference of Frida's painting of Rosa resembles this World War II poster of Rosie the Riveter meant to boost female worker morale.
    • Furthermore, the slogan ¡Sí se puede! can be seen on the painting. This slogan was popularized by the Latino activist César Chávez in the 1970s.

Rosa: "Nevermind, serve yourselves." [Piles the plates on her esposo and goes to the couch] "Ernesto Estrella is on."

Ernesto Estrella: "Buenos dias, mis estrellitas." [Comes closer] "Today, I am talking about the water sign."

[A blue water triangle appears in Ernesto's hand]

Rosa: "Oh, Maria, that's you."

[Reaches over and picks up her confused hija in her seat with one arm and sets her down. Maria's tamale falls off her fork]
