Johnny Bravo is an American animated television series by Van Partible for Cartoon Network. produced by Brian A. Miller, the series stars a muscular beefcake man named Johnny Bravo who dons a pompadour hairstyle and an Elvis Presley-like voice and has a forward, woman-chasing personality. Plots typically revolve around him trying to get a woman that he has targeted throughout the episode to fall in love with him. He is often beaten up or stunned by his target or companions or is ditched by them in the end. The series was originally part of a series of shorts on Cartoon Network's animation highlight series World Premiere Toons. The popularity of the shorts led to the network commissioning a full series for the show, which premiered on July 7, 1997. The series was renewed for multiple following seasons and finally ended its official run-on August 27, 2004. The series was the second series to be spun from World Premiere Toons and is the second series under Cartoon Cartoons. A spin-off of the series, JBVO, was unsuccessful and ran for one season. Many of the writers and directors of the series went on to become famous for their own projects. Johnny Bravo is today considered a classic Cartoon Network series, the title character is labeled as "iconic", and his catchphrases are common in popular culture. Reruns of the show are played on Boomerang.

Jane Smoo Kate Donahue Jane Smoo is a feminist bodybuilder in Johnny Bravo. She is a one-off character and guest on Vendela's talk show in the episode Talk to Me, Baby. She was there to promote her book called Big Muscles, Small Mind. Immediately, she showed a hostile attitude towards Johnny, calling men like him "narcissistic." When she told Vendela that men like Johnny are afraid of strong women, he defensively denied it. Enraged at his hubris, Jane then stripped off her jacket and skirt, revealing her giant muscular body in a two-piece swimsuit. She flexed her muscles while giving a primal roar, with Johnny and Vendela watching in shock. Then she leaped towards the bleachers and, using her strong power, was able to pull off a section of it with some of the studio audience. Johnny intervened, telling her whether she was or wasn't a lady, he wouldn't let her destroy Vendela's TV show set. Jane just scowled and tried to crush Johnny with her giant foot, but Vendela saved him by lassoing him with her microphone wire. Vendela angrily told Jane to put down the audience members. Jane snarkily said "Sure," and then threw the bleacher on top of Johnny, hurting him. 1
